Looking at Writer’s Craft
We’ve read many short stories over the past few weeks, and now you will work on writing your own. First though, we should have a closer look at how the writers were able to create such good stories.
Please post a comment… Identify a writer’s technique that you really liked from one of the stories we’ve read that you will try to do when writing your own short story. Make sure you name the story title and author and be specific about the writer’s craft. If you can, pull the line/s from the story so we can see how it’s done.
Attention Saxe Readers!
Saxe Destiny Quest is looking for readers to write reviews of the books in our library’s collection.
Here’s all you need to do:
*Write one paragraph that includes… a brief synopsis of the story including the book’s genre, the main character/s, setting, and conflict, but DON’T give away the ending! Also, mention why you really liked the book and make a recommendation for the kind of reader that would enjoy it too 🙂
*Be sure to type your review in Word or Google Docs first so you can revise and edit. Also, you can only use 150 words so be sure to use word-count before submitting.
